I suggest must enjoy the Helicopter tour, Made of the Mist, Jet boat ride, Journey behind the sea, and photography on Niagara Falls. All of these things will make your father's trip more wonderful. I am impressed with your suggestions because all these activities will be new experiences for my father and I hope he will like these rides but I don't know whether his friends enjoyed these rides. Anyway, I enjoyed the helicopter tour last year and photography during this tour. I would like to suggest to my father and his friends that must pack a camera for enjoying photography on this trip. DC to Niagra falls is such an amazing combo and for this wanna say good luck to your father. I am quite sure he gonna have fun on this trip or to make this more charming should forget to enjoy the Niagara falls illuminations show. Hey, Addi I am pleased that you liked my suggestion and I want to say thanks for appreciating me. why not, I would love to share here the image collection that I captured during my last helicopter tour but nowadays, I am facing some issues with my camera. I think it's a technical issue that's why I cannot share now but After repairing my device I will share. By the way, Do you have enjoyed the helicopter ride?
